Aluminium 7050 square bars are made from an aluminium alloy containing approximately 5.6-6.1% zinc, 2.1-2.5% magnesium, 1.2-1.6% copper, and small amounts of manganese, chromium, iron, and titanium. This composition enhances its strength and resistance to fatigue and stress corrosion cracking. The alloy offers excellent mechanical properties, including a high tensile strength of around 480-540 MPa, yielding approximately 430-470 MPa, and elongation of about 10-12%. These properties make Aluminium 7050 ideal for aerospace and structural applications due to its high strength-to-weight ratio.
