5754 Aluminium square bars are composed primarily of aluminium (approximately 92.5-94%), with magnesium (2.60-3.60%) as the main alloying element. Small amounts of manganese (0.50%) and iron (0.7% max) are also present. This composition provides excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, and high strength. The mechanical properties of Aluminium 5754 include a tensile strength of about 210 MPa, yield strength of around 130 MPa, and elongation of approximately 12%. These properties make it suitable for applications requiring high strength and good corrosion resistance, such as in marine environments and industrial applications.
